It's rare that we at TechRadar handle a product with a name so hanker we can't even put it in the newspaper headline, only here we go: the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS has just been unveiled, and information technology's a unused upper side-last smartwatch.

Wear't Affirmative and Ultra average the same thing? Wherefore is the GPS necessary in the name? Wherefore doesn't Mobvoi like the number four?

This is a premium smartwatch that costs you $299.99 / £289.99 / AU$399.99, and it's technically an upgrade happening the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS. At that price it slightly undercuts the Apple Watch 7, and every bit a Break off OS smartwatch it has lots of similar features.

The watch has a 1.4-inch AMOLED screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset, 8GB depot, 1GB Jam and an NFC chip. Information technology's a Break OS smartwatch so it uses Google's software, merely brings a few Mobvoi extras like specific health apps and exercise modes.

Course, it also has well-stacked-in GPS - that name would be bad misleading otherwise.

Mobvoi hasn't stated whether this watch uses Assume Osmium 3.0, as in the Samsung Galaxy Follow 4, or the second-gen version of information technology which around companies shut up use - we'll consume to incu it out when we test the twist.

The smartwatch is open aright now from Mobvoi's website - we'll be testing it out presently to bring you our congested thoughts on it.

Analytic thinking: A second smartwatch coming

At the same time Eastern Samoa unveiling the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, Mobvoi also showed off the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra with 4G. What's the deviation with this? Well partly the terms, as it costs £329.99 (roughly $450 / Gold$610), and partly its connectivity, as it supports a 4G connection.

The lack of a US price implies the watch isn't coming to the US, though it could just personify that a price hasn't been confirmed yet. In the UK and Europe, the device will be disposable to buy from November.

LTE connectivity is within reason of a recess characteristic, as it's only important if you don't project along carrying your smartphone round with you all the clock time. So most masses won't need this second smartwatch, simply if you think you'd appreciate phone-less watch practice, information technology could personify worth wait for.

It's unlikely, but technically possible, that the Black Friday smartwatch deals could cut the price of these two new devices - almost definitely not by much, but possibly by enough to make them even more tempting.
